Welcome to the Eat Low Glycemic Pasta Blog

Welcome to the launch of a new blog about low glycemic foods. Hope the information will be helpful in your meal planning.
There will be some discussion of whether the gylcemic index is helpful or not. We will be following developments in this and related areas.
Also we will be researching foods that claim to be low glycemic due to new processing methods or substitution of ingredients to obtain a low glycenic index number.
This blog was named after the characteristics of a pasta I have been using. It has a very low level of carbohydrates that effect blood sugar levels due to processing improvements in preparing the pasta.



We have been eating the various pastas made by Dreamfields for sometime and they are delicious, taste like the real deal which they are, but a 2 oz serving has only 5 digestible carbs. It has a glycemic index of 13 while regular pasta has an index of 38. Give it a try you will love it and so will your blood sugar levels.
